So ive been doing a tonne of research and speaking to experienced amp techs and most of them are saying that Tantalum Capacitors are not good because if they fail they short out.
Does anyone else use other brands other than these? ie Electrolytic or Film

Well yes, that's one reason to avoid them, but the main reason I don't use them is the voltage rating, tantalum caps typically are used for low voltage circuits. In guitar amps the voltages are simply too high.
