Hi all, Just thougth id share a few photos of my build. Transformers, chassis and faceplate were from Tube Town. I Also made the cabinet myselft from scratch, First time using tolex too! The speaker im using is a Warehouse guitars ET-65. The amp itself sounds great, combined with the speaker its quite bright and articlate. Hopefully will sound great in a band setting. I also ran a 500pf cap across the NFB resistor and used the spare trim pots on the back to adjust the level to take off a bit of high end if required. I got this idea from Rob Robinettes "Ice pick cap" as the stock presence circuit has little effect. Only thing i regret not doing is soldering in a base for the relay so if one failed i could remove and plug in another, cause if oner failed ill have to lift the board. I was also advised by my local tech to switch the live mains volatge rather than the neutral as it is on the layouts, Perhaps something to think about if youre on my side of the world to comply with local standards.
The cut out on the lower half of the head is going to be for a dumbleator which im halfway through building.
Cheers for New Zealand!
very nice build , where do you get your relay switches from ? I'm looking for a good source
regards
Mark
Congratulations , very nice build , I use to switch the neutral but not anymore , I just hardwire that and switch the active now, What ODS is yours based on ?
It looks amazing! :) the build quality is astonishing!
