I Finally got back to finishing up my Super Reverb re-build. It sounds fantastic, and dead quiet.
However the trem is not working. I checked all the wiring, component values, put in a known good tube. Of course I shorted the footswitch jack to ground since I don’t have a footswitch. The bias is a bit low. With 422 on the plates 70% would be 49ma, I’m maxed out and have 35ma, which shouldn’t be an issue.
I swapped in a known good roach, double checked the orientation, removed C20 as per Fender’s original schematic. All voltages are close, except the bias. Fender says -52, I’m at -42 and the bias is still low.
Color me puzzled. Troubleshooting advise is appreciated. Pic just for fun.
